Construction of Behavioral Intervention Plan for Gastric Cancer Screening in First-Degree Relatives of Patients With Gastric Cancer Based on EPPM
Objective To develop an intervention program for gastric cancer screening behavior among first-degree relatives of gastric cancer patients based on the extended parallel process model(EPPM).Methods From March to November 2023,Based on a literature review and group discussions, developed a preliminary intervention program for gastric cancer screening behavior among first-degree relatives of gastric cancer patients using the Delphi expert consultation method involving 18 experts in two rounds of consultations to form the final version of the intervention program. Results Two rounds of expert consultations resulted in the construction of an intervention program consisting of two primary indicators, four secondary indicators, and twenty-seven tertiary indicators for screening. The authority coefficients were 0.822 and 0.884 respectively.Kendall's coefficient values from the two rounds were 0.176 and 0.373,with statistically significant differences(P<0.001).Conclusion The developed intervention program based on the Extended Parallel Process Theory is reliable and practical, providing a reference basis for interventions targeting gastric cancer screening behavior among first-degree relatives of gastric cancer patients.
