Observation on the Effect of Bushen Jianpi Decoction Combined With Acupoint Application on Primary Osteoporosis
Objective To explore the clinical effect of Bushen Jianpi decoction combined with acupoint application in the treatment of primary osteoporosis(OP).Methods A total of 82 patients with primary osteoporosis admitted to Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture from June 2021 to June 2023 were randomly divided into two groupsusing randomly numer tabal method,with 41 cases each group.The control group received treatment with salmon calcitonin injection,while the observation group received additional treatment with Bushen Jianpi decoction for 3 months.The clinical efficacy,changes in bone density,bone metabolism indicators,pain scores,traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores,and adverse reactions between two groups were compared.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 95.12%,which was higher than 80.49%of control group(P<0.05).The bone density of the 1st to 4th lumbar vertebrae in the observation group was higher than that in the control group after treatment(P<0.05).The alkaline phosphatase and type Ⅰ collagen cross-linked C-terminal peptide in the observation group were lower than those of the control group after treatment,and the osteocalcin was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The visual analogue scale(VAS),lumbar and back pain,lumbar and knee soreness,mental fatigue,and nocturia score were lower than those of the control group after treatment(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in adverse reactions between the two groups(9.76%vs.4.88%)(P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of Bushen Jianpi decoction and acupoint application can improve the treatment effect of primary osteoporosis,correct abnormal bone metabolism,increase bone density,reduce VAS score,and is safe and reliable.
