Effect Analysis of Self-Care Management Under the Enabling Theory in Patients With Permanent Colostomy
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of self-care management under the enabling theory in permanent colostomy disease. Methods A total of 100 patients with permanent colostomy who were treated in the Fifth Hospital of Xiamen from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected as the study objects.According to the difference of nursing methods,50 cases were divided into groups. The control group took routine nursing intervention, and the study group took self-care management under the enabling theory based on routine empowerment theory. The degree of health knowledge,self-care ability and ostomy adaptation were compared between the two groups. Results All patients completed 6-month follow-up after discharge. At discharge,1,3 and 6 months after discharge, the health knowledge level of the study group was 72.00%,78.00%,86.00%and 96.00%,respectively,which was higher than 52.00%,48.00%,44.00%and 38.00%of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores and total scores of self-care ability in the study group were higher than those in the control group at discharge,1,3 and 6 months after discharge(P<0.05).The scores and total scores of observer alexithymia scale(OAS)were increased in both groups at discharge,1,3 and 6 months, and the scores of each dimension and total score of OAS in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion After 6 months of clinical nursing follow-up,it can be seen that self-care management under the enabling theory is more conducive to improving the health knowledge and self-care ability of patients with permanent colostomy than conventional nursing intervention, and is more in line with the adaptation status of disease stomy,so as to promote disease recovery.
