Quantitative Risk Assessment of Hearing Loss Among Workers in a Cement Manufacturing Enterprise
Objective To evaluate the risk of hearing loss caused by occupational exposure to noise in a large cement manufacturing enterprise,so as to provide a basis for enterprise risk management. Methods A total of 818 workers exposed to noise in a large cement manufacturing enterprise in Zhaoqing city from April to September in 2023 were selected as the research objects, and the method of"Guidelines for Risk Management of Noise Occupational Disease Hazards"(WS/T754-2016)was used to evaluate the risk of hearing loss. Results The noise exposure level test results of the enterprise showed that the rate of exceeding the standard was 36.0%.Among the 9 posts that exceeded the standard,5 posts were classified as gradeⅠ,and the degree of harm was mild;4 posts were classified as gradeⅡ,and the degree of harm was moderate. The risk level of the 5 posts with grade Ⅰ noise hazard was from acceptable risk to medium risk;the risk level of the 4 posts with grade Ⅱ noise hazard was from medium risk to high risk;it showed that the greater the noise intensity, the longer the noise exposure age,the higher the risk level, and the risk was correlated with the noise level and the noise exposure age.Regardless of the noise hazard level Ⅰ and Level Ⅱ positions, the risk of hearing loss caused by 35 years of exposure increased exponentially than that caused by 30 years of exposure, indicating that the longer the exposure time from 30 years of exposure, the greater the risk of hearing loss. Conclusion The risk of hearing loss caused by noise in the cement manufacturing industry is high.It is suggested that the enterprise take necessary comprehensive measures such as process, engineering and management to protect the health of workers.
