Investigation and Analysis on the Current Situation of Quality Management Capacity Building of Disease Control System in Suzhou
Objective To understand the current situation of quality management capacity building of disease control system in Suzhou under the background of quality power construction.Methods Questionnaire and field investigation were carried out in 11 centers for disease control and prevention in 2023.Results The municipal-level CDC and 6 district and county-level CDCs had established independent quality management departments,which mainly undertake the work of system management,sample collection management,instrument and equipment calibration verification,etc.There were a total of 46 quality management practitioners in the Suzhou CDC system,with some districts and counties only assigning 1-2 dedicated staff members;The age of quality management practitioners in the Suzhou disease control system was mainly concentrated in the 40-49 age group,accounting for 41.30%.;The majority held a bachelor's degree,accounting for 39.13%.The majority held intermediate professional titles,accounting for 36.96%.And the majority majored in public health,accounting for 34.78%.All 11 CDCs were accredited with the qualification for inspection and testing institutions,and all were organized to participate in internal and external quality control activities.The municipal CDC and one district and county-level CDC were recognized by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment.Conclusion Under the background of the reform of the disease control and prevention institution system and high-quality development,it is suggested that the grassroots disease control and prevention center should independently set up a quality management department,improve the quality management function,expand the number of personnel,optimize the personnel structure,strengthen information construction,and ensure that the requirements for the qualification of inspection and testing institutions can be effectively implemented.
