Application of Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy Combined With Breast Conserving Surgery in the Treatment of Breast Cancer
Objective To investigate the effect of sentinel lymph node biopsy combined with breast-conserving surgery in the treatment of breast cancer. Methods A retrospective study was conducted on the clinical data of 80 patients with primary breast cancer admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University from January 2018 to December 2023.Based on different surgical methods, they were divided into a study group(sentinel lymph node biopsy+breast-conserving surgery)and a control group(modified radical mastectomy),with 40 cases in each group. The surgical conditions, prognosis, immune function and incidence of postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results The surgical time, extubation time, hospitalization time, intraoperative blood loss, and drainage volume of the study group were all lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Before surgery, there was no statistically significant difference in the levels of CD3+and CD4+/CD8+between the two groups of patients(P>0.05).After surgery, both CD3+and CD4+/CD8+decreased,but the study group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the quality of life scores between the two groups before surgery(P>0.05).After surgery, the quality of life score of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications was 7.5%in the study group and 20.0%in the control group, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion Sentinel lymph node biopsy combined with breast-conserving surgery has a definite effect in the treatment of breast cancer, with rapid postoperative recovery, fewer complications and a good prognosis.
