Analysis of the Current Status and Influencing Factors of Constipation in Patients With Acute Phase of Cerebral Infarction
Objective To investigate the current status and influencing factors of constipation in patients with acute phase of cerebral infarction. Methods A total of 222 patients with acute phase of cerebral infarction who met the inclusion criteria in a tertiary hospital in Fujian province from September 2021 to September 2022 were selected as the study subjects. The general information, neurological deficits, negative emotions, blood routine, blood biochemistry and defecation of patients were investigated, and the status of constipation and its influencing factors were analyzed. Results The incidence of constipation in patients with acute phase of cerebral infarction was 36%.Univariate analysis showed that age, hemiplegia, dysphagia, gastric tube insertion, anxiety, depression, neurological deficit,C-reactive protein(CRP)and glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c)levels were risk factors for constipation.Binary logistic regression analysis showed that age and anxiety were independent risk factors for constipation. The receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC curve)showed that the binary logistic regression model had good discrimination. Conclusion The incidence of constipation in patients in the acute phase of cerebral infarction is at a moderate level.Clinical medical staff can take relevant measures according to the risk factors of constipation in patients to prevent the occurrence of constipation and reduce the adverse effects of constipation on patients.
