Application of Risk Assessment Combined With PDCA Cycle Method in the Prevention and Control of Multidrug-Resistant Bacterial Infections
Objective To analyze the application effect of the risk assessment combined plan-do-check-act(PDCA)cycle method in the prevention and control of multidrug-resistant Organism(MDRO).Methods A total of 360 patients admitted to the intensive care unit(ICU)of Heze Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 2021 to June 2023 were selected.According to the intervention time,180 patients from July 2021 to June 2022 were selected as the control group, and 180 patients from July 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the study group. The control group adopted routine management measures to prevent and control MDRO,while the research group used risk assessment combined with PDCA cycle method for MDRO prevention and control based on this. The implementation of two groups of MDRO prevention and control measures with the detection rate of MDRO were compared. Results The study group scored higher than the control group in terms of critical value reporting, standardized isolation, issuance of isolation medical orders, specialized diagnostic and treatment equipment, personal protection during diagnosis and treatment, hand hygiene, and final disinfection, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The detection rate of MDRO in the research group was 5.56%,which was lower than 12.22%of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of risk assessment and PDCA cycle method can effectively improve the implementation of MDRO prevention and control measures, reduce the risk of MDRO occurrence.
