Effect of Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome in Patients With Ischemic Stroke
Objective To explore the effects of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome on cognitive impairment in patients with ischemic stroke. Methods A total of 80 patients with ischemic stroke treated in Shanxi Province Fenyang Hospital from June 2021 to June 2023 were selected as the study objects.Among them,40 patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome were observed group and 40 patients without obstructive sleep apnea syndrome were control group. The cognitive function, neurological deficit, sleep quality and quality of life were compared in the two groups. Results The cognitive function score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The neurological impairment score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The sleep quality score of the observation group was(18.65±1.37)points,which was higher than(4.15±1.25)points of the control group(P<0.05).The quality of life score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with patients with ischemic stroke alone, patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome have lower cognitive function, more serious neurological deficit, worse sleep quality and lower quality of life, which will cause serious impact on patients.
