The Impact of Bundled Intervention Measures in Hospital Infection Prevention and Control Behavior
Objective To explore the impact of implementing bundled intervention measures on nosocomial infection prevention and control behavior of medical staff. Methods Four indicators, namely hand hygiene compliance rate and accuracy rate, mask wearing compliance rate and accuracy rate of medical staff in a medical institution from January 2019 to December 2022,were selected as the basic performance of nosocomial infection prevention and control behavior to observe, and the compliance rate and accuracy rate were compared before and after the implementation of cluster intervention measures. Results The compliance and accuracy rates of healthcare workers'hospital infection prevention behavior showed an increasing trend year by year, with the largest increase in 2020.The hand hygiene compliance rate and accuracy rate increased from 66.35%and 73.76%before the intervention to 83.99%and 91.51%after the intervention, respectively. The mask-wearing compliance rate and accuracy rate increased from 78.59%and 75.41%before the intervention to 95.38%and 89.15%after the intervention, respectively. The difference before and after the implementing bundled intervention measures was statistically significant(P<0.001).Conclusion The adoption of bundled intervention measures significantly improved the compliance and accuracy rates of healthcare workers'hospital infection prevention behavior, suggesting that the bundled intervention measures were scientifically effective.
