Analysis on Influencing Factors of Hospitalization Expenses of Dead Inpatients in a Tertiary Hospital in Hunan From 2016 to 2020
Obiective By counting the diseases such as gender, age and hospitalization times of the dead patients from 2016 to 2020.This paper conducts a comprehensive analysis, examining the various influencing factors and their respective degrees of impact on hospitalization expenses, and provides data basis for severe diagnosis and treatment and resource allocation. Methods χ2 test and variance analysis were used to compare the difference of mortality and gender.Regression equation established to analyze hospitalization expenses' influencing factors. Results From 2016 to 2020,the number of discharged patients in the hospital was more male than female, and the sex ratio of male and female death cases was 2.33:1,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The average age of death was(59.03±23.05)years,the average length of stay was(12.48±3.06)days,the average length of stay was(1.98±0.59)times,the average hospitalization cost was(56 000±5 600)yuan,the average drug cost was(12 800±2 000)yuan.There were differences in age, hospitalization times, hospitalization expenses and consumables expenses during 5 years(P<0.05).Multivariate linear regression equation of hospitalization cost was established. The coefficient of length of stay, drug cost and consumables cost were 458.872,2.498 and 1.382,all with P values less than 0.001.From 2016 to 2020,the death of patients in the hospital was mainly diagnosed as circulatory system, injury, poisoning and some other consequences of external causes, respiratory system diseases, tumors and digestive system diseases, accounting for 77.22%of the total number of deaths. Conclusion It is suggested that the hospital improve the rescue success rate of severe brain trauma patients and improve the medical quality of related departments.
