Efficacy Analysis of Transureteroscopic Holmium Laser in the Treatment of Urethral Stricture Complicated With Urethral Calculi
Objective To explore the clinical effect of transureteroscopic holmium laser surgery in patients with urethral stricture combined with urethral calculi. Methods A total of 68 patients with urethral stricture and urethral stones who were treated in the department of surgery at Wuwei Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from October 2021 to October 2023 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, using a random number table method, with 34 patients in each group. The control group patients were treated with conventional electrocautery cold knife surgery, while the observation group was treated with ureteroscopy holmium laser surgery. The clinical efficacy, surgical outcomes, and incidence of complications between two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group(88.23%)was higher than that of the control group(52.94%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The intraoperative blood loss, bladder spasm frequency, stone fragmentation time, and surgical time in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group(8.82%)was lower than that in the control group(29.41%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of patients with urethral stricture combined with urethral calculi, transureteroscopic holmium laser can be adopted, which can not only effectively improve the clinical efficacy of patients, but also ensure the smooth operation, make the surgical index of patients more stable, and promote the early recovery of patients.
