Application of Quality Control Management Model Based on PDCA Cycle Theory in Medical Record Quality Management
Objective To explore the application effect of the plan-do-check-act (PDCA) cycle theory in quality control management mode in medical record quality management. Methods A total of 200 patients admitted to Guangdong Agricultural Reclamation Center Hospital from January to April 2023 who underwent routine medical record quality management were randomly selected as the control group,and another 200 patients admitted to Guangdong Agricultural Reclamation Center Hospital from May to August 2023 who underwent PDCA cycle theory quality control management were randomly selected as the observation group. The quality of the front page of medical records,medical record management quality scores,and errors in medical record management were compared between two groups of patients. Results The excellent medical records of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). In the observation group,the scores of doctors' ward rounds,malignant tumor chemoradiotherapy and discharge records were (23.51±2.76) points,(24.21±2.74) points and (24.54±5.81) points,respectively,which were higher than (21.10±2.63) points,(19.48±2.63) points and (20.63±2.65) points in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The total incidence of error in the observation group was 8.50％,lower than 19.00％ in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of PDCA cycle theory in quality control management of medical records can effectively improve the quality of medical records,reduce errors in management,avoid risks,and make the management process more rigorous.
