Application of Modified Postural Fixation in Lumbar Puncture of Children With Cancer Under the Concept of Comfortable Nursing
Objective To explore the effect of modified posture fixation in children with lumbar puncture under the concept of comfortable nursing. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on 100 children with tumor who underwent lumbar puncture and intrathecal injection of chemotherapeutic drugs in Clinical Oncology School of Fujian Medical University/Fujian Cancer Hospital from January 2020 to December 2023,they were divided into control group and observation group, with 50 cases in each group according to different disease areas, with 50 cases in each group. The control group adopted the traditional lumbar puncture fixation mode, while the observation group adopted the modified lumbar puncture fixation mode based on comfort care, that is,the lumbar puncture fixation mode assisted by the body fixation belt. The other nursing methods of the two groups were consistent. The differences of preoperative position placement time, intraoperative position adjustment,re-puncture,postoperative complications and position satisfaction between the two groups were compared. Results The preoperative position placement time of the observation group before surgery was (102.76±12.09) s,which was shorter than (118.72±23.41) s of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The incidence of intraoperative position adjustmentt and re-puncture in the observation group were 12.00% and 18.00%,respectively,lower than 82.00% and 66.00% in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the total incidence of complications between the two groups (P>0.05). The stability of the position, comfort, fixation effect, position (band) aesthetics, postoperative recovery and overall satisfaction of the observation group were superior to the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Under the concept of comfortable nursing, the modified body position fixation method of lumbar puncture not only improves the satisfaction of children with lumbar puncture, but also shortenes the time of positioning before lumbar puncture, and reduces the rate of re-adjustment and repeated puncture during the operation.
