Research on the Application of Grass QR Code in the Management of Newborn Pediatric Wards
Objective To explore the application effect of grass QR code in the management of neonatal wards.Methods Sixteen responsible nurses from the neonatology department of Xiamen University Affiliated Women and Children's Hospital were selected as the research subjects.Starting from the application of the grass QR code in the department as a time node,Divided into paper management group ( from January to June,2022) and scanning management group (from July to December,2022),assess the theoretical knowledge and operational skills related to the use and maintenance of equipment by two groups of responsible nurses in the ward.The maintenance qualification rate and timely maintenance rate of instruments and equipment under two management modes during two time periods were calculated.The quality of equipment management by responsible nurses from six dimensions:storage,inventory,allocation,use,maintenance,and response to malfunctions were evaluated.Results After the application of grass QR code,the theoretical knowledge assessment score of the responsible nurse's instrument and equipment usage and maintenance during the scanning management period was (91.95±5.80) points,and the operational skills assessment score was (90.98±5.77) points,all were higher than the paper-based management group (P<0.05).The maintenance qualification rate of instruments and equipment was 95.06％,and the timely maintenance rate was 94.12％,higher than the paper-based management group (P<0.05).The quality of storage and management of responsible nurse instruments and equipment was (4.57±0.62) points,inventory management quality was (4.38±0.77) points,allocation management quality was (4.75±0.39) points,usage management quality was (4.46±0.63) points,maintenance management quality was (4.39±0.51) points,and fault response management quality was (4.62±0.48) points,all were higher than the paper-based management group (P<0.05).Conclusion The application of grass QR code can effectively improve the knowledge and skills related to instrument and equipment of responsible nurses in the neonatal ward,and strengthen the quality of instrument and equipment management in the department.
