Protection of Cancer Patients' Rights and Interests as Clinical Research Participants From an Ethical Perspective
With the development of clinical medical research,tumor patients,as research participants,play a significant role in medical research.However,due to their special physical conditions and medical needs,tumor patients require additional protective measures to ensure that their rights are fully respected and safeguarded.This article will explore the issue of protecting the rights of tumor patients as clinical research participants.The rights of research participants include the right to life and health,the right to informed consent,the right to privacy protection,the right to compensation and indemnity,and the right to fairness.The article discusses the issues existing in the protection of research participants' rights among the three parties of the applicant,researcher,and ethics committee,as well as the complaints of subjects.It proposes measures such as accelerating the construction of ethics committees,strengthening researcher education,carrying out popular science promotion,and strengthening supervision and management of clinical research to ensure that the rights of research participants are not infringed.
