Application of Cervical Dilatation Balloon Combined With Oxytocin in Induction of Labor in Term Pregnancy
Objective To observe the effectiveness of cervical dilatation balloon combined with oxytocin in the induction of full-term pregnancy with low Bishop cervical score. Methods A total of 100 patients diagnosed with full-term pregnancy and low Bishop cervical score undergoing induction in Zhongshan Gangkou Hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected as the study objects. They were divided into the study group and the control group by random number table method,50 cases in each group. The study group was treated with cervical dilation balloon combined with oxytocin,while the control group was treated with oxytocin. The Bishop cervical score,labor initiation time,total labor process and postpartum blood loss before and after labor induction were compared between the two groups to evaluate the effect of labor induction and the outcome after cervical treatment. Results After induction of labor,the Bishop cervical score of the study group was (8.53±1.07) points,which was higher than (6.26±0.98) points of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in total labor and postpartum blood loss between the two groups (P>0.05). The time to labor initiation in the study group was (16.05±3.04) min,which was shorter than (27.06±5.64) min in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of natural labor between the two groups (P>0.05). The total effective rate of induced labor in the study group was 94.00％,which was higher than 76.00％ in the control group,the rate of cesarean section was 14.00％,which was lower than 42.00％ in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The implementation of cervical dilatation balloon combined with oxytocin in the induction of full-term pregnancy can significantly improve the cervical maturity,improve the total effective induction of labor and natural delivery rate,reduce the occurrence of cesarean section,and the effect is ideal.
