Application of Individualized Management Based on Elderly Assessment in Elderly Hypertension With Diabetes
Objective To explore the application value of individualized management based on elderly assessment in elderly patients with hypertension and diabetes. Methods A total of 120 elderly patients with hypertension and diabetes treated in Shihezi City People's Hospital from January 2019 to January 2024 were selected as the study objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method,60 cases in each group. The control group implemented conventional management mode, and the observation group implemented individualized management based on elderly assessment. The management situation of the two groups was compared. Results After management, the levels of systolic blood pressure (SBP),diastolic blood pressure (DBP),fasting blood glucose (FBG),and 2-hour postprandial blood glucose (2 hPG) in the observation group were (135.74±7.48) mmHg,(81.63±3.58) mmHg,(5.68±0.57) mmol/L,(7.34±1.08) mmol/L,which were lower than (140.68±8.55) mmHg,(86.59±4.63) mmHg,(6.34±0.76) mmol/L,(8.19±1.33) mmol/L in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After management, the scores of psychological function, physical function, social function and material life in the generic quality of life inventory 74 (GQOL-74) in the observation group were (78.91±5.42) points,(80.16±6.32) points,(73.82±6.07) points and (76.45±6.38) points, which were higher than (72.68±6.73) points,(74.59±8.68) points,(67.94±5.68) points and (69.84±7.07) points in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The total satisfaction of the observation group was 96.67%,which was higher than 83.33% of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of individualized management based on elderly assessment in the management of elderly patients with hypertension and diabetes can effectively control blood pressure and blood sugar levels, and can also improve the quality of life and satisfaction of patients.
