The Effect of TCAR and H-UPPP in the Treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea Hypopnea Syndrome
Objective To explore the efficacy of low temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation(TCAR)and han-uvulopalatopharyngoplasty(H-UPPP)in adult obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS).Methods A total of 96 patients with OSAHS treated in Sihui People's Hospital from March 2021 to September 2023 were selected and divided into control group and observation group according to different surgical methods. The control group(48 cases)received conventional electrocautery and H-UPPP,while the observation group(48 cases)received TCAR and H-UPPP.The surgical outcomes and postoperative recovery of the two groups were compared. Results The intraoperative blood loss and pain score at 2 hours after operation of the observation group were(6.28±1.24)mL and(4.62±0.34)points,which were lower than(13.35±3.47)mL and(5.57±0.26)points of the control group, respectively, the operation time and hospital stay of the observation group were(42.16±3.49)min and(11.06±2.07)days,respectively,which were shorter than(50.79±4.66)min and(14.58±2.73)days of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).One month after surgery, blood oxygen saturation of the observation group was(93.35±5.24)%,which was higher than(90.51±4.74)%of the control group, and nasal resistance, apnea hypop-nea index(AHI)and snore index of the observation group were(0.15±0.04)Pa/(cm3·s),(19.53±5.60)times/h and(254.91±22.02),respectively,which were lower than(0.23±0.03)Pa/(cm3·s),(26.63±7.09)times/h and(294.18±30.46)of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).One month after surgery, the Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)and Epworth sleepiness scale(ESS)scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total complication rate and recurrence rate of the observation group were 4.17%and 4.17%,which were lower than 20.83%and 16.67%of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion TCAR and H-UPPP have satisfactory effects in the treatment of OSAHS,with less surgical trauma and quick postoperative recovery, which can effectively relieve symptoms and improve sleep status, and the incidence of postoperative complications and recurrence is low.
