Minors are a special category of patients in our country, and the civil capacity of underage patients is limited, and therefore their ability to give informed consent for medical treatment is also limited. For most invasive medical practices, underage patients are unable to express their will and exercise their right to informed consent for medical treatment. In contrast, with reference to the educational level and age of criminal responsibility in China, minors over the age of fourteen are capable of understanding the nature of medical acts and can make their own judg-ments about medical acts. Therefore, minor patients are supposed to be able to express their own will in the act of medical informed consent.
