Post-mortem examination of infectious corpses in a focus on legal regulations
The handling of infectious corpses is not only an important part of the national biosafety management system,but also one of the essential contents of public health safety control in China.Its examination and autopsy attract extensive attention in relevant fields,because of its high exposure risk and complex professional technology.Forensic medical examiners inevitably take the risk to contact the bodies of infectious diseases.In practice,forensic examination of infectious corpses still faces some challenges,such as unclear legal basis,controversial examination procedures,and anatomical techniques to be standardized.Through studying the relevant domestic laws,regula-tions,standards and other normative documents,this paper summarized the general diciplines of forensic practice of infectious corpses,and shed light on the improvement of relevant laws and regulations.
