Analysis on pathogen composition of hand-foot-mouth disease and gene characterization of Coxsackie virus group A type 16 VP1 region in Jilin Province in 2021
Objective To understand the pathogenic composition of hand-foot-mouth disease(HFMD)and gene charac-teristics of VP1 region of Coxsackie virus group A type 16 in Jilin Province in 2021,so as to provide reference for scientific prevention and treatment of HFMD.Methods The main epidemic pathogenic composition of HFMD in Jilin Province in 2021 was analyzed, and the nucleotide sequence of the VP1 coding region of the dominant pathogen was determined and an-alyzed.Results 78 enterovirus positive strains were isolated from 278 HFMD patients, with a positive rate of 28.06% .Among them,CV-A16 accounted for 35.90% ,CV-A6 accounted for 32.05% ,CV-A10 accounted for 6.41% ,CV-A4 accounted for 11.54% and untyped enterovirus accounted for 14.10% .Among the 13 CV-A16 positive strains,9 belonged to the Bla gene subtype and 4 belonged to the B1b gene subtype. The amino acid and nucleotide homology among the 13 endemic CV-A16 strains were 97.9% -100.0% and 86.7% -100.0% ,respectively.Amino acid mutations were observed at sites 14,22,23,143,164,251,266 and 279 of 13 CV-A16 strains. Conclusion Two pathogens of HFMD,CV-A16 and CV-A6,were co-circulating in Jilin Province in 2021.Two gene subtypes,B1a and B1b,were co-prevalent among 13 CV-A16 strains, mainly B1a gene subtype. There were 8 amino acid site mutations in Qinghai strain compared with 2008.
