Pollution and correlation of indoor PM10 and PM2.5 in different types of public places in Jiangxi Province
Objective To investigate the pollution status of indoor PM10 and PM2.5 in different types of public places in Jiangxi Province and to analyze their correlation,so as to provide scientific basis for formulating prevention and control measures.Methods Stratified random sampling method was applied to detect PM10 and PM2.5 concentrations from indoor air and analyzed the correlation.Samples were taken from 230 public places in 4 categories,including hotels,barber shops,beauty salons and waiting rooms,in Jiangxi Province in 2019 and 2020,respectively.Results The median indoor PM10 and PM2.5concentrations in different types of public places in Jiangxi Province were 98 μg/m3 and 63 μg/m3,respectively,andranged from 76 μg/m3 to 127 μg/m3 and 47 μg/m3 to 88 μg/m3.There weresignificant differences in indoor PM2.5 and PM10 concentrations in different types,regions and quarters of public places(all P<0.05).The contribution rate of PM2.5 and PM10 in public places was 45%(33%~57%).There was a positive correlation between indoor PM2.5 and PM10 concen-trations.Conclusion Indoor PM10 and PM2.5 pollution in different types of public places in Jiangxi Province are of different degrees,so the monitoring of indoor pollutants in key public places should be strengthened.
