The association study between nighttime sleep status and comorbidities of hypertension and dyslipidemia
Objective To explore the relationship between nighttime sleep status and comorbidities of hypertension and dyslipidemia in adults in Jilin province,so as to provide scientific basis for the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases.Methods From October to December 2018,a total of 4 953 permanent residents over the age of 18 in Jilin Province were selected by stratified multi-stage cluster random sampling method for questionnaire survey,body measurement and laborato-ry examination to compare the nighttime sleep status and sleep problems of the subjects.Results A total of 4576 subjects were included,with an average age of(56.31±12.38)years,and the average sleep duration of the subjects was(6.88±1.65)hours.72.6%of the subjects had sleep problem,and 51.9%of them had the sleep problem of waking up during sleep.Waking up early and having difficulty falling back to sleep,difficulty falling asleep and snoringwere followed by 40.4%,37.1%and 32.8%,respectively.In terms of sleep behavior,snorerswere associated with a higher risk of comorbid-ities of hypertension and dyslipidemia compared with non-snorers(P<0.05).Conclusion In Jilin Province,bad nighttime sleep status of adultswas more serious,and adults snoring were associated with an increased risk of hypertension and dyslipi-demia comorbidities.The greater the number of sleep problems among participants,the higher the prevalence of comorbidi-ties with hypertension and dyslipidemia.
