Analysis of Coupling and Coordination between Medical Service Prices and Economic and Social Development in the Yangtze River Delta City Cluster under a Perspective on High-Quality Development
Objective:It aims to investigate the coordination between medical service prices and economic and social development in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration. It involves analyzing shortcomings and problems to provide a decision-making basis for the integrated development of medical service prices in the Yangtze River Delta Region. Methods:A total of 27 cities and municipalities in the Yangtze River Delta were selected as observation samples.Indices for economic and social development and medical service price items were constructed.Weight coefficients for each index were determined using the entropy weighting method. The degree of coordination between the two dimensions was measured by the coupled degree of coordination model.Simultaneously,a short board analysis was conducted based on the relative degree of development index. Results:The economic development and medical service price varied significantly among the 27 cities and municipalities. The highest coupled coordination degree was 0.95,the lowest was 0.12,and 67%of cities exhibited coordination. However, the degree of coordinated development varied widely across the region. There were 3 quality coordinated cities, namely Shanghai,Nanjing and Suzhou. There were 3 severely dysfunctional cities, namely Anqing,Chizhou and Xuancheng, where the main shortcoming was economic and social development. Conclusion:The general pattern of coordinated development between the price of medical services and economic and social development in the Yangtze River Delta City Cluster was positive.Nevertheless, moderate and severe dysfunctions persist, with the lagging price of medical services identified as a focal point for future reform.
