Objective To explore the relationship between medical experience and medical behavior intention of patients in primary medical institutions and the mediating role of physician trust. Methods A multi-stage stratified sampling method was used to investigate 583 patients from 6 primary health care institutions in Nantong. The Primary Care Assessment Tool(PCAT),Chi-nese version of Wake Forest Physician Trust Scale(C-WFPTS),and Medical Care Behavior Intention Scale were used to con-duct a cross-sectional investigation of the main study variables.SPSS 26.0 was used for single factor analysis and correlation anal-ysis,and AMOS 24.0 was used to construct structural equation model for path analysis. Results The score of medical experience, physician trust, and medical behavior intention was 21.05±3.04,41.50±5.29,and 20.11±3.38,respectively.There was signif-icant correlation among the variables(P<0.01).Physician trust plays a partial mediating role between medical experience and medical behavior intention. Conclusion The primary medical and health institutions should pay attention to the patient's experience, improve the level of trust between doctors and patients,so as to enhance the patients'intention to seek medical treatment.
