Isolation and identification of intestinal bacteria from Aulacophoroides hoffmanni Takahashi
Objective Intestinal bacteria of Aulacophoroides hoffmanni Takahashi were islated and identified in order to provide theoretical basis for exploring the relationship between intestinal bacteria and the physiological nutrition of Aulacophoroides hoffmanni Takahashi. Methods Biological characteristics of five strains of intestinal bacteria from Aulacophoroides hoffmanni Takahashi were studied systematically by traditional isolating and culturing methods. Then we designed universal primers for PCR amplification based on conserved region of bacterial 16S rDNA.The 16S rDNA sequences obtained were compared with the published sequences from United States NCBI Information Center database to analyse the species of the bacteria in clonal populations. Results The first, second and third strains belonged to Bacillus cereus, the fourth one belonged to Serratia bizio, and the fifth one belonged to Bacillus subtilis. Conclusion This study would provide a foundation for further rearches on the relationship between intestinal bacteria and the growth and development of Aulacophoroides hoffmanni Takahashi as well as for in-depth study of the strains.
