The value of serum diamine oxidase monitoring in predicting the prognosis of patients with intestinal ischemia
Objective To explore the clinical value of serum diamine oxidase(DAO)monitoring in predicting the pro-gnosis of intestinal ischemia, providing a reference for the treatment. Methods From February 2019 to October 2020,50 patients with intestinal ischemia treated in our hospital were selected as the experiment group;using serum DAO as the in-dex of intestinal barrier function evaluation, the intestinal barrier function was continuously monitored 2 hours before treat-ment,and on the 3rd,5th and 7th day after treatment.Fifty patients with non-intestinal diseases were selected as the con-trol group, and the intestinal barrier function was measured before clinical treatment. Results Two hours before treat-ment,the serum DAO level in the experiment group was(21.261±4.101)U/L.Compared with that 2 hours before treat-ment,on the 3rd,5th and 7th day after treatment, the levels of serum DAO decreased significantly by(5.504±0.609)U/L(t=2.385,P=0.011),(10.697±0.661)U/L(t=11.560,P<0.001)and(13.383±0.585)U/L(t=12.663,P<0.001)respectively.The level of serum DAO in the experiment group was the highest 2 hours before treatment, decreased significantly on the 3rd day after treatment, and returned to(7.878±1.033)U/L on the 7th day after treatment. The level of serum DAO in the control group was(7.529±10.165)U/L.There was no significant difference between the two groups(t=1.584,P=0.1 17).Conclusion As an indicator of intestinal barrier function, serum DAO level has an appropriate clinical value in evaluat-ing the prognosis of intestinal ischemia.
