Recent research on the effect of gut microbiota on multiple myeloma based on the gut-bone marrow axis
Multiple myeloma(MM)is the second malignant disease in hematology. Its pathogenesis is closely related to cytogenetic changes and the interaction between myeloma cells and the bone marrow microenvironment.Gut microbiota is an important part of the tumor microenvironment, which is an important factor that cannot be ignored in the occurrence and development of MM.It can regulate the tumor microenvironment through the gut-bone marrow axis and affect the occur-rence,process and prognosis of MM.Therefore, regulating gut microbiota may be a potential new target for the treatment of MM.The progress in research on MM based on the gut-bone marrow axis is reviewed in this paper, aiming to clarify the mechanisms of the occurrence and development of MM,and find potential drug targets,so as to provide new idea for im-proving the clinical prognosis of MM,especially for patients with recurrence disease.
