Progress in research on correlation between intestinal flora and risk factors of osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis is a common chronic debilitating joint disease characterized by degenerative changes of articular cartilage, subchondral bone remodeling and synovitis.Further identification of the potential pathogenesis of osteoarthritis is crucial for the development of new preventive measures and improvement of related treatment methods. With the develop-ment of cell biomolecular engineering, the important role of intestinal flora in the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis has attrac-ted great attention.By access to relevant literature at home and abroad,we found that intestinal flora has certain correlation with the risk factors that induced osteoarthritis, such as genetics, age, gender, diet, metabolism, central nervous system,ex-ercise and joint injury, which leads to the incidence of osteoarthritis with individual differences. In order to further clarify the relationship between intestinal flora and various factors and to explore individualized treatment of osteoarthritis, this article reviews the correlation between intestinal flora and common pathogenic factors of osteoarthritis,in order to provide a new perspective and reference for improving the clinical treatment of osteoarthritis.
