Characteristics of the gut microbiota in early-onset Sjogren's syndrome
Objective To observe the changes of intestinal microflora in early-onset Sjogren's syndrome(SS)rats, and determine the characteristics of the intestinal microflora of SS,so as to provide a new direction for early detection and treatment of this disease. Methods The models of SS were established in male Wistar rats with SPF grade and 6-7 week old.The rat feces in the SS group(n=6)and control group(n=6)were collected for metagenomic analysis, and the changes in intestinal microecology of early-onset SS were observed. Results Compared with the healthy control rats, the relative abundances of Firmicutes(t=2.933,P=0.025),Uroviricota(t=3.077,P=0.012),Siphoviridae(t=7.653,P<0.001),Pepto-streptococcaceae(t=2.243,P=0.049),Lachnospiraceae(t=4.134,P=0.005),Lactobacillus(t=6.720,P=0.001),Lactobacil-lus johnsonii(t=6.881,P=0.001)and Siphoviridae sp(t=8.356,P<0.001)significantly increased, while those of Bacteroid-etes(t=3.347,P=0.018),Bacteroidaceae(t=7.260,P<0.001),Eggerthellaceae(t=3.214,P=0.009),Tannerellaceae(t=4.477,P=0.005),Akkermansiaceae(t=3.566,P=0.005),Limosilactobacillus(t=9.096,P<0.001),Bacteroides(t=4.956,P=0.002),Adlercreutzia(t=3.221,P=0.009),Phocaeicola(t=4.546,P=0.003),Parabacteroides(t=4.477,P=0.005),Limosilactobacillus reuteri(t=9.896,P<0.001),Adlercreutzia equolifaciens(t=3.227,P=0.009),Bacteroides uniformis(t=14.189,P<0.001),Bacteroides_caecimuris(t=8.745,P<0.001)and Phocaeicola vulgatus(t=4.936,P=0.002)signific-antly reduced. Conclusion In the initial stage of SS,the changes in the structure and diversity of gut microbiota at differ-ent levels appeared.Lactobacillus may provide a new approach for potential gut microbiota therapy in SS.
