Interaction between intestinal flora and psoriasis:research progress
Psoriasis is a systemic inflammatory skin disease characterized by erythema,papule,scaling and pruritus.Due to the changes in the abundance of microbial community in the skin lesions and the intestinal tract,the patients will devel-op microecological disorders,metabolite imbalances,and immune regulation disorders,etc..The above changes can in-crease skin microenvironmental inflammation,promote intestinal environmental inflammation,and result in keratinocyte proliferation and plaque formation.In order to reveal the potential role and mechanism of intestinal flora in affecting the distal skin and to foster the development of the theoretical foundation and intervention strategies of psoriasis targeting in-testinal flora,this paper discusses the characteristics of skin and intestinal flora in patients with psoriasis as well as how they promote the occurrence and development of psoriasis.
