Relationship between skin microecological imbalance and atopic dermatitis:research progress
Human skin,as the first line of defense against the invasion of external pathogens, contains many microorgan-isms that participate in defense and immune response to maintain skin health.Atopic dermatitis, closely related to dysbios-is of the skin microbiome,is a chronic, relapsing, inflammatory disease with dry skin,eczema-like dermatitis and itching as main manifestations.Currently, the therapies for atopic dermatitis mainly focus on anti-inflammation,relieving itching, regulating immune function, and improving the quality of life. The concept of"gut-skin axis"suggests that intestinal mi-croecology and skin microecology are closely related to each other. It reveals an association between the gut and the skin, and the improvement of gut microbes may be beneficial to treatment for AD.Therefore, the research on the relationship between skin microbes and atopic dermatitis can help us understand how they influence each other thoroughly;what's more,it can provide novel approaches for diagnosis and treatment of atopic dermatitis.
