Characteristics of skin microbial flora in patients with pressure ulcers based on 16S rRNA sequencing
Objective To analyse the characteristics of skin flora of patients with pressure ulcers(PUs)using 16S rRNA sequencing, providing new ideas for the prevention and treatment of PUs.Methods A total of 18 patients with PUs from the hospital were enrolled as the PUs group, while 20 healthy volunteers without a history of PUs were enrolled as the healthy control group.Skin samples were collected and detected with 16S rRNA gene sequencing, and the differences in species of skin flora between bedsore patients and healthy controls were analyzed. Results The alpha diversity and beta diversity analyses showed that the number of species, richness and diversity of skin flora of patients with PUs were lower than those of healthy controls(all P<0.05).The flora indices analysis showed that the flora health index was higher in the healthy control group than in the PUs group, while the flora dysbiosis index was higher in the PUs group than in the healthy control group(all P<0.05);the abundance of Staphylococcaceae in PUs group was significantly higher than that in the healthy control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with health individuals, the skin flora of patients with pressure ulcers is significantly disturbed, and the abundance of Staphylococcaceae is significantly higher. The differences of skin flora may provide new ideas for the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers.
