Objective To analyze the advantages and disadvantages of a public hospital branch and put forward de-velopment strategies.Methods Taking a branch of a tertiary grade-A hospital in Beijing as an example,this paper used the literature review method,expert meeting method,combined with practical work,and applied the SWOT-PEST model to analyze the internal advantages and disadvantages,external opportunities and challenges of the branch of a public hospital,and put forward the development strategies of the branch of the public hospital.Conclusion It put forward the growth strategy of strengthening specialty advantages and highlighting service characteristics;the twist strategy of informationization promoting homogenization and improving personnel ability;the diversification strategy of perfecting the discipline setting and improving medical service;the defensive strategy to improve management effective-ness and resource efficiency.Furthermore,it is recommended to dynamically adjust the development strategies of public hospital branch according to time and local conditions.
