Objective To investigate the management current situation of the patient self-provided infusion drugs in medical institutions in China,identify the risk points and explore improvement measures.Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted in some medical institutions across China,including the management system of patients'self-provided drugs,the homogeneous management of these in prescriptions or medical orders and the current situation of the use,distribution and dis-pensing of self-provided infusion drugs.Results 79.37%of the medical institutions had established a system to manage pa-tients'self-provided medicines,and 75.01%of the medical institutions had included the use of self-provided medicines in their medical records.52.64%of the medical institutions allowed patients to use self-provided infusion medicines,but there had much room for improvement in the distribution and dispensing of these medicines.Conclusion Medicalinstitutions should es-tablish a whole process management system for self-provided drugs,and promote homogeneous control of self-provided drugs through information technology to ensure the safety of patients.
