Objective To investigate the influence of Pharmacy Intravenous Admixture Services(PIVAS)on the establishment,subordination and work content of the professional group of centralized intravenous drug allocation man-agement in the local area.Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted among the persons in charge of PIVAS in medical institutions by the Working Committee of Centralized Intravenous Drug Allocation of Chinese Pharmacists Asso-ciation.Results Among 761 PIVAS,665(87.39％)from 30 provinces(autonomous region,municipalities directly under the central government)had established professional groups.96(12.61％)PIVAS from 22 provinces(autonomous region,municipalities directly under the central government)did not establish professional groups.Among the 665 PIV-AS that established professional groups,365(54.89％)of the professional groups in the provinces(autonomous region,municipalities directly under the central government)where PIVAS were located belonged to the provincial and municipal health administrative departments and the centers of pharmacy,pharmaceutical management,clinical pharmacy,intra-venous drug allocation,and medical quality control under their leadership.Conclusion The construction of provincial professional group for centralized intravenous drug allocation management in China was relatively weak,and it failed to play a core role in supervision and guidance.The functional positioning of provincial professional group for centralized in-travenous drug allocation management should be strengthened to improve the quality and efficiency of supervision and management.
