Objective To explore the optimal grouping of pediatric comorbidities/complications,so as to provide empirical basis for improving diagnosis related groups(DRG).Methods Based on the data from the first page of the medical records of hospitalized children in Beijing municipal hospitals from 2017 to 2019,17 DRG groups were subdivided into subgroups of comorbidities/complications by CN-DRG grouping in 2017,and coefficient of variation(CV)and co-efficient of total variance reduction(RIV)were used for validity evaluation. Results The CV values of the subdivided DRG groups corresponding to ES10,EX10,IC30,IE10,IF10,IF20 and IH30 were all below 1,RIV values were all higher than 99.00%,and P<0.05 was observed in all cases. The optimization groups were established. Conclusion The optimization of pediatric DRG comorbidities/complications grouping is beneficial to improve the accuracy of pediatric case grouping and provide guarantee for accurate payment.
