Objective To construct a post competency model suitable for grassroots administrative personnel in public hospitals.Methods Based on literature review,competency index was extracted initially.Behavioral event inter-views was conducted among 10 grassroots administrative staff of public hospitals in Zhejiang Province to screen compe-tency indicators.25 experts were consulted to determine competency indicators.Results The post competency model of grass-roots administrative staff in public hospitals was composed of 5 first-level indicators and 18 second-level in-dicators.The 5 first-level indicators included personal characteristics,professional quality,work skills,interpersonal relationship and management ability.Conclusion The post competency model of grass-roots administrative staff in public hospitals is practical and can provide reference for the recruitment,assessment and training of grass-roots admin-istrative staff in public hospitals.
