Objective To investigate the meeting status and influencing factors of care needs for community-dwelling disabled elderly in China,in order to provide support for the establishment and improvement of our elderly care service and security system.Methods Data from China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study(CHARLS)in 2020 were used to select a sample of community-dwelling disabled elderly.Independent variables were set according to An-derson model to make descriptive statistics on the status of community-dwelling disabled elderly in meeting their care needs.Chi-square test and binary logistic regression were used to analyze the influencing factors of unmet care needs.Results A total of 2 473 community-dwelling disabled elderly were included,of which 36.2%had unmet care needs.The community-dwelling disabled elderly were more likely to have unmet care needs if they were male,had low disability,poor economic status,no medical insurance,no spouse,few contacts with children,and insufficient other care resources to choose from.Conclusion It is recommended to guide family members to actively take on the responsibili-ty of caring for the elderly,explore a person-oriented integrated care service,develop male caregivers and flexible and diverse care service projects,establish a complete social care service system,and alleviate the economic pressure brought by the need for care for community-dwelling disabled elderly through the development of pension savings accounts,long-term care insurance,and commercial care insurance.
