Objective To explore the surgical quality evaluation method based on the performance evaluation index of public hospitals,and to provide reference for the continuous improvement of surgical quality.Methods The data of 13 surgical related indicators of performance appraisal in tertiary public hospitals from 2019 to 2022 were collected.The quality evaluation of 9 surgical specialties in a tertiary hospital was carried out by combining unified standards and sepa-rately set evaluation standards.Results From 2019 to 2022,the proportion of surgery,the proportion of minimally invasive surgery and the proportion of four-level surgery of discharged patients in the hospital increased.In 2022,the incidence of complications in surgical patients was 1.64%,and the satisfaction of outpatients was 88.18 points.The o-verall evaluation score was the highest in department I(92.81 points)and the lowest in department A(83.04 points).Conclusion The surgical medical quality in the hospital has been comprehensively improved,but the management of surgical complications should be strengthened and the satisfaction of outpatients should be improved.The surgical quality evaluation method based on the performance evaluation index of public hospitals can effectively evaluate the surgical med-ical quality.
