Objective To construct the evaluation index system of medical equipment management capability in ter-tiary hospitals. Methods Through literature analysis and semi-structured interview, the original index pool was es-tablished. Two rounds of expert consultation were conducted by Delphi method. In the first round of consultation,45 experts were used to screen indicators, and in the second round of consultation,20 experts were used to calculate the in-dex weight by analytic hierarchy process. Results An evaluation index system including 4 first-level indicators,9 second-level indicators and 28 third-level indicators was constructed. The positive coefficients of experts in the two rounds of consultation were 95.56% and 100.00%,respectively. The expert authority coefficients were 0.81 and 0.75,respectively. The coordination coefficients of expert opinions on the importance, availability and sensitivity of indi-cators were 0.175,0.184 and 0.036,respectively,all P<0.01. The weights of the first-level indicators were medical equipment management system and process (0.25),clinical use of medical equipment (0.10),quality and safety of med-ical equipment (0.55),and development and potential of medical engineering disciplines (0.10). Conclusion The constructed index system is scientific, which is conducive to promoting the improvement of hospital medical equipment management ability and providing reference for health administrative department to make relevant decisions.
