Objective To analyze the internal logic and key challenges of new quality productive forces empowering patient participation in patient safety,and to propose practical paths. Methods Relevant literatures were retrieved and information was extracted for classification and analysis. Results Based on the perspective of new quality produc-tive forces,this paper expounds the internal logic of new quality productive forces enabling patients to participate in pa-tient safety from three dimensions of technological revolutionary breakthrough,innovative allocation of production fac-tors,and deep industrial transformation and upgrading. It was found that there were challenges in patient education and health literacy,medical resources and technical support,cultural identity and policy orientation. It proposed practical pathways such as leveraging new quality productive forces to cultivate high-quality and new type workers,digitally and intelligently empowering patients to participate in patient safety,and driving through policies and cultural construction,so as to promote the high-quality development of patient safety.
