Adult neuroblastoma:Four cases report and literature review
Objective To boost the level of recognition of the clinicopathological features, diagnosis and treatment of adult neuroblastoma( ANB). Methods Four cases of adult neuroblastomas clinical and pathological features, diagnosis and differential diagnosis were reviewed and analyzed retrospectively. Results The age of patients ranged from 22 ~33 years old. The male to female ratio was 3:1. The main clinical manifestations included an abdominal mass, dull pain. Morphology and immunophenotype of ANB were the same as that of children neuroblastoma. The tumor cell was round and bare nuclear shape. Necrosis and calcification could be found. Immunohistochemical results showed that the tumor cells expressed NSE,NF,and Syn. Conclusions ANB is a rare malignancy with bad prognosis. ANB must be considered when we face with the malignant small round cell tumor in adults.
