Effective comparison between phacoemulsification and ECCE
Objective To study the efficacy of two different kinds of cataract surgeries in sight rehabilitating project. Methods A total of 461 age-related cataract patients(485 eyes) were divided into two groups, the postoperative best corrected visual acuity(BCVA), corneal edema, complications were compared. Results There was not statistically significant between two groups on the BCVA of post operation 1 day( x2 = 195. 616, P=0. 000). But there was statistically significant between two groups on the BCVA of post operation 2 month(x2 = 10. 075, P = 0. 018). Conclusion In the bulk sight rehabilitating surgeries, the methods of operation should be chosen by the nuclear hardness of lens and the economy of patients. It is the only way to ensure every case of sight rehabilitating safe and effective completion.
