Applicative Value of Electrocardiographic ST-T changes in Predicting Severity of Acute Pumonary Embolism
Objective To evaluate the applicative value of electrocardiographic ST-T changes in predicting the severity of acute pulmonary embolism (APE). Methods A retrospective study was carried out on data of 55 patients with APE. The patients were divided into two groups:ST-T changed group( A group) :36 patients and Non ST-T changed group(B group) :19 patients, All patients determined plasma cardiac troponin I twice interval 8-12 hours in 24 hours after admission. To observe serious clinical events in hospital. Results In 55 APE patients, 17 patients had positive Tnl results, 15 patients in A group, 2 patients in B group. 21 patients experienced serious clinical events, 17 in A group,4 in B group. Conclusions Electrocardiographic ST-T changes suggest myocardial injury with the elevated risk of serious clinical events,it is a easy method to evaluate the severity of APE.
