Two cases reports and literature review of bladder paraganglioma
Objective To study the histopathological and immunohistochemical characteristic of bladder paraganglioma. Methods Two cases of bladder paragangliomas were observed on histopathology and had an immunohistochemical analysis, and related literatures were reviewd. Results Grossly, tumor margins were confined within the capsule. The tumor cells disposed in cords, solid cell nests or clusters, one with squamous or glandular organization in one case. They were different in cells size. Nucleus were usually exhibited round, orbicular ovate or fusiform, and nuclear fission were rare. Blood sinus were affluent in stroma. Immunohistochemical study demonstrated that tumor cell were acted with CgA , Syn and S100, but negatively with CK, CK7, HMB45 and CEA. Conclusions Bladder paraganglioma is a rarely tumor that its diagnosis depended on histopathological observation and immunohistochemical staining.
