Efficacy of 99Tc methylene diphosphate in treating type 2 diabetic patients combined with postmenopausal osteoporosis
Objective To observe the effect of "Tc methylene diphosphate ("Tc MDP, Yunke) combined with calcium tablet and calcitriol in treating type 2 diabetic patients combined with postmenopausal osteoporosis. Methods 59 type 2 diabetic patients combined with postmenopausal osteoporosis patients were randomly divided into the t reat-ment group (n= 32) and control group(n= 28). The treatment group was treated with vein injecting Yunke combined with calcium tablet and calcitrioln. The control group was treated only with calcium tablet and calcitriol. The therapy went on for 6 months. Results After 6 months, the treatment group was statistically superior to control group in each part of mean BMD (P<0. 05), and amelioration rate was 93. 5%. The BMD raise respectively compared with pre-therapy period in treatment group. Conclusions It is safe and effective for "Tc methylene diphosphate combined with calcium tablet and calcitriol in treating type 2 diabetic patients with postmenopausal osteoporosis.
