Observation on the surgery efficacy of myringoplasty for traumatic tympanic membrane perforation
Objective To explore the Clinical efficacy of myringoplasty for traumatic tympanic membrane perforation. Methods This was a retrospective study, from January 2007 to October 2010, 53 patients underwent endoscopie myringoplasty with traumatic tympanic membrane perforation at our hospital. 3 months after surgery, the perforation healing of tympanic membrane and hearing regeneration were observed. Results The tympanic membrane perforation healing rate was 96. 2% (51/53), and air conduction threshold audiometry in language frequency average increased by l0dB. The follow up was 1~3 years, and no recurrence or complications had occurred. Conclusion If the myringoplasty can be done in early stage for traumatic tympanic membrane perforation that will improve the tympanic membrane perforation healing rate and shorten the time of the healing. The endoscopie myringoplasty can be ap-pled to traumatic tympanic membrane perforation.
