Relationship between TNF-a238 gene and alcohol dependence、alcoholic liver disease in Korean and Han men of Yanbian area in China
Objective To investigate the genotype and the allele frequency of tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α) 238 in peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs) in Korean and Han men of yanbian area and the relationship between alcohol dependence, alcoholic liver disease (ALD). Methods Polymerase chain reaction restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP) was used to detect TNF-α-238 single nucleotide gene polymorphism in the health control group(Korean50,Han45),alcohol dependent group!Korean56, Han45) and ALD group( Korean 58,Han53) in Korean men and Han men of Yanbian area, calculated and compared the genotype and the allele frequency of three groups. Results In Korean men,the genotype frequency of TNF-α-238G/A had no significant difference between alcohol dependent group,ALD group and health control group( P>0. 05). No the genotype of TNF-A/A was detected in all the samples. In Han men,the genotype frequency of TNF-o-238 had no significant difference between alcohol dependent group, ALD group, and health control group(P>0.05). No the genotype of TNF-A/A was detected in all the samples. Conclusion There is no difference of TNF-a-238 gene polymorphism's distribution in Korean and Han men of Yanbian area. There is no relationship between TNF-o-238 gene polymorphism and alcohol dependence, alcohol dependent,ALD in Korea and Han men of Yanbian area with abroad report way existence obvious difference.
